Well, hello lovely people! It's actually November now! Can you believe it?! The time has flown by this year! This week is for fireworks and toffee apples, wrapping up warm and going for crisp autumnal walks in woodland.

I've been meaning to finish this illustration for some time and I really wanted to add it to the finished pile and get it made into a print. I will be making this into an illustrated tee as well it's not yet in my etsy shop as one but if you'd like this illustration on a tee they are £15 plus P&P just email me & I can send you an invoice.

Hope everyone is having a lovely week! I'm almost to the point where I'm thinking about pressing play on my epic christmas music playlist but I'm trying to hold back, why?!!!

Really looking forward to having a little stall at the Crafty Fox market on Sunday 7th December at the Dogstar in Brixton, London. It will be my first ever so please pop down and say hello, I'd love to meet you & I'll be selling mini zines, prints & tees too! <3>

An illustrated I did of the lovely Freyia Lillian of Flimsymoon as a mermaid. It's always so much fun to draw someone as a mermaid, I'd love more commissions like this.

I got Pompeii on blu ray as one of my birthday gifts from Matt, it stemmed back from me being so desperate to see it at the cinema but we never got round to it. Being the sweet guy that he is he remembered, obvs, and there it was all wrapped up the day I turned twenty six.

So we got our living room set up like a mini cinema and watched the epic movie in all its HD glory. It was pretty f**king epic as well, I probably would have left the cinema haha! I'm not gonna say too much but it's centered around a sweet love story (not extremely soppy!) and the natural disaster that happened. You seriously need this in your life!

It's Tuesday and in my mind that means weddings, I've got weddings on my mind pretty much 24/7 as Matt and I are edging ever closer to getting married and it's giving me butterflies!

I had to share this illustration I did for the darling Megan of Briar Rose blog and her lovely husband, they are like Ariel and Eric and had such a magical wedding which is featured on her beautiful blog! It's like a slice of Disney loveliness and I wanted this illustration to reflect all those whimisical elements and pretty pastel colours! Megan was so kind and lovely about the illustration, she is a total sweetheart!

We actually have the same wedding photographer and I'm so looking forward to Chloe being there on our wedding day to capture all those special moments! Definitely check out Chloe's ahhhmazing portfolio and Megan's super gorge blog, her hair and outfits are sooo dreamy!

I'm available for commissions so if you'd like a price list or a more bespoke quote just send me an email or message me on my website. I've had questions about anything from a wedding portrait to bridesmaid t shirts (hell yeah!) I'd love to hear from you!

This month and last actually we've been hooked on Homeland, Danes & Lewis are the best! It's the perfect box set to start the Autumn with and makes me wish I was super clever, able to drive flashy cars and had swishy golden locks like Claire Danes. If you haven't started this epic series, start from season one and fuel up on water and your favourite snack. It's addictive.

Flimsymoon lingerie by Freyia Lillian is a whimsical, pale fairytale of delicate silks, golden leathers, ivory ribbons and sparkling glitters.

Flimsymoon needs your support, they are well on their way to reaching their goal for their kickstarter project, which will enable them to make the final piece for their gorgeous and unique collection, you can help by pledging anything you can afford to their wonderful campaign.

Keep an eye out for a special interview with Freyia Lillian in the coming weeks on Velvet Wolves.

Feeling a little down lately but I'm always trying to stay positive. I don't like talking about being unhappy or sad as I sometimes feel as though it can bring other people down with you and you end up sinking into a black hole of feeling rubbish, crying into your tea wearing pyjamas. But then I think you know what we're all human, we all have mood swings and days where we feel as though we are carrying a big grey cloud full of unhappiness and gloom around with us and then sometimes one thing can happen and that cloud can get heavier or it can turn into a rainbow and fade away. Anyway, I suppose life throws us things that can be massive and really change the way we see the world and live out our everyday or can just be that you got teary eyed watching an episode of GBBO because your meringues are never gonna have that sort of shine.

I just thought I'd share a few things that seem to really help me feel happier and stay positive, I hope they help you guys in some way if you've ever felt like that too.

1. make time for friends and family | don't fall into the trap of feeling like you need to be cocooned in a duvet far away from the world. getting out really helps, even if it's just half an hour.

2. laugh | giggle at things, it's okay! watch your favourite comedy! get your mates round! giggle parties are the best!

3. make time for yourself | a bubble bath, treat yourself to a new shamazing shampoo, get your nails did, practise that cat eye with a new eyeliner, take yourself out for tea!

4. routine | i find a good bedtime routine means better sleep which seriously helps your mental wellbeing, if i'm tired then i get cranky, i don't feel refreshed and i wind up feeling like the female version of Tyler Durden.

5. talk about it | getting your feelings and thoughts out there makes them seem much less daunting, more than likely your friend or your mum has been through the same thing or knows how to cope with whatever it is that's troubling you, you'll find help and advice through talking to others and people can be so kind

I wish we could all have a harry potter butter beer party with real versions of chocolate frogs and pumpkin pasties! Halloween is on it's waaaay!
